Water Quality in Local Watersheds with the Lewis Creek Association

Join Lewis Creek Association for a presentation and discussion about water quality in the Pond Brook in Monkton, Lewis Creek, LaPlatte River, and direct-to-lake drainages in Charlotte, and how it affects Lake Champlain’s health. We will review the results of our 2024 water quality sampling by walking through LCA’s story map. You’ll learn about some of the causes of poor water quality, and gain some ideas of what you can do to help improve it. This presentation will be at the Monkton Town Hall, but is open and relevant to anyone living in our local watershed towns: Bristol, Charlotte, Ferrisburgh, Hinesburg, Monkton, Shelburne, or Starksboro. There will also be a Zoom option - please click here to join via ZoomBrought to you with Tactical Basin Planning funding from the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation.
