LCA will be joining the Addison County River Watch Collaborative (ACRWC) for an afternoon of family-friendly fun celebrating the New Haven River on September 12th at Sycamore Park in Bristol from 12-3pm! Stop by and say hello to LCA while you enjoy local music, free food, educational activities about the river and park, and a raffle. There will be other community partners including Audubon VT, the Bristol Rec Department, the Bristol Conservation Commission, and more.

12:30--1:30pm- Music from The Tadpoles
1:30-2:15om-- Wade, Dabble and Float in the river-- river education and activities for kids & families
1:30pm-- Bird Walk with Audubon VT
2:00-3:00pm-- Music from Shacket (blue grass)
3:00pm-- Event ends
All-day activities:
Scavenger Hunt: There will be a passport-style scavenger hunt around Sycamore Park.
Macroinvertebrate Education: River Watch will have a benthic macroinvertebrate education station.
Community art project: There will be a community art project in the food/seating tent where folks can color in a postcard to either take home or hang up in the tent.
Food & Drink: There will be empanadas from Viva El Sabor and cookies donated by Vermont Cookie Love, as well as water and lemonade. There is no potable water access at the park.
