Lewis Creek Association (LCA) recently wrapped up its boat launch steward program at Bristol Pond and Monkton Pond.

Volunteers, from nurses to ornithophiles, paddled throughout the lively wetlands of Lake Champlain to remove European frogbit, a non-native invasive plant species, for the sixteenth consecutive summer.

Lewis Creek Association (LCA) and the United Church of Hinesburg have partnered to plan for improvements in water quality in the area behind the United Church. That area was historically a wetland associated with the LaPlatte River floodplain, that had been filled in and drained.
