"Aquatic Organism Passage" Culvert Replacement, Charlotte

In 2011, LCA partnered with the Town of Charlotte and US Fish & Wildlife Service to replace a culvert to allow for optimal aquatic organism passage at Spear Street, just west of the Lewis Creek Quinlan Bridge. The new culvert was designed by engineers at Milone & MacBroom, Inc. The new culvert is 9 feet wide X 7 feet high, and 30 feet long. It is buried 3 feet with fill to the elevation of the stream bed.
