Stormwater Education Training Session #2

  • Shelburne Community School 345 Harbor Road Shelburne, VT USA (map)

The stormwater engineer we are working with is currently preparing stormwater information training material that will include information about stormwater management with a specific focus on schools. She will present to educators, members of the public, and LCA board members, in an effort to increase our outreach and education capacity. A short summary of technical information on stormwater project development will include stormwater quantification, site assessment, and will provide ideas on how to teach these ideas from both a conceptual and technical perspective. This training will occur in two sessions: you should plan to attend both. CVSD teachers can get relicensure credit, and salary credit with pre-approval. The training sessions will be followed by classroom time with the engineer this fall, where attendees of this summer's training session will be able to shadow and learn about educating students.
